Zelda on Wii U might see many changes

We were blown away when Nintendo first showcased Zelda on the Wii U at E3 2011 — gone was the cartoony style, and instead we got some high def visuals showing just what the new console is capable of.

Now according to Nintendo’s Eiji Aonuma, a long time Zelda developer, fans should “expect many changes” to what we saw at E3. Aonuma said to the Official Nintendo Magazine:

“I can’t really tell you any details about that at this point. However, I should say the demo you saw at E3 is more of a starting point at this time, especially from a graphical standpoint. You should expect many changes… our starting point is the gameplay and how we can make it work. It’s possible the game will look very different by the time it comes out.”

We don’t know about you, but the Zelda Wii U version we saw at E3 looked very impressive (check out the Zelda Wii U wallpaper) and was easily the most beautiful Zelda game we’ve ever seen.
