Here’s a look at the upcoming fast boot menu for Wii U [VIDEO]

In a previous Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata acknowledged that it takes too long from pressing the console on button to booting into a game on the Wii U. After acknowledging this problem, Iwata stated that the company plans on fixing it by implementing a fast boot menu, which will pop up within seconds of pressing the on button with a selection of software that you can boot directly into without having to initialize the Wii U menu first. It’s great for usability of the product, but we haven’t seen much more about it since the announcement.

Tilmen of Nintendomination fame offers a quick look at the fast boot menu for the Wii U and how we can expect it to function once it goes live. Do you like what you see? Notice how quickly a gamer is able to start up a game of Super Mario Bros. U, select their Mii, and get into the game. Not bad!
