With the release of Super Mario Maker on September 11, Nintendo will put the creation of new platform games in the hands of its fans. We’ve already seen some crazy creations, but the only thing that truly limits the performance of the game is how many objects can be on the screen at any given time.
GameXplain explored this but determined that there is no hard limit on the number of objects, but rather the limit is determined by the type of objects you’re using. Each type of object has specific limits, which GameXplain goes through object by object, starting with blocks and platforms and working through enemies.
Overall, the end point here is that there is plenty of room to create amazing levels without worrying about running into any limits.
