In today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced NES Remix, an eShop title coming to the Wii U today. Have you ever wanted to see Link rescue Pauline in the original Donkey Kong? How about getting 10 1-ups in a row in Mario Bros.? Welcome to NES Remix, a game that challenges what you know about your past favorites.
The video challenges you to “Test your skills in a series of altered 8-bit challenges”. It would seem the Nintendo crew had a little fun modding their own games. It begs the question of whether or not this will happen with newer games. Maybe Metroid Prime will get remade with Link as the hero?
