Miyamoto will be attending Nintendo’s 30th anniversary festival for Mario

Miyamoto-Mario

Nintendo is hosting a 30th anniversary festival for Mario in Japan on September 13, just two days after the release of Super Mario Maker. So far we know that series creator Shigeru Miyamoto and composer Koji Kondo will be attending the concert.

The two legendary designers will be discussing various points about the design phase of Super Mario games, as well as their thoughts on the last 30 years of working on the franchise. Miyamoto and Kondo will be playing Super Mario Maker together as well.

Other performances for the day include YMCK, CLACHIP, and of course, Mario himself will make an appearance. Nothing quite this grand is being celebrated in the United States for Mario’s 30th anniversary, but remember this upcoming weekend of September 5, Nintendo of Canada is hosting a Super Mario Maker construction event.
