You have probably heard the word HTML5 being thrown around a lot lately. It is the tech worlds solution to media compatibility across multiple devices. The lack of need for extra plugins means all platforms will be unified, which is why Google is making a big push for it. But just how strong can HTML 5 be? Well, even in its early stages it can run games on your browser.

Surely, we have all played Super Mario Bros at one point or another. At the very least you know about it. We can now play the classic game on our browsers – no need for downloads or plugins. Just go to www.fullscreenmario.com and have a blast!

I love that the Mario Bros game recreation is made to fit a computer screen. The game looks very wide, but it takes advantage of the space to let you see further to the right (you can see obstacles and enemies ahead better).

If you want to get a bit adventurous you can even create your own levels! It’s relatively easy. Simply access the level editor and you can pick which items and characters you want to place in the level. You can organize them as you wish and make it as hard or as easy as you choose.

Everything else is pretty straight forward. It’s the same good ol’ Super Mario Bros we all know and love. Go check it out and marvel over the future of the web! Now I know what I’m doing the rest of the day.
