Google Play Music now featuring fireplace when streaming to Chromecast

Google Play Music has been updating with a little extra feature that Chromecast users will love. Have you ever seen those fireplace videos people put on their TVs? They are not like the real deal, but they do look very nice and set a very mellow, welcoming mood. And now Google Play Music can stream one to your Chromecast while you play music!

It should be a nice feature you can use tonight while you set the mood for your romantic dinners! Play some slow music and have flickering fire lighting the room. Sounds like an awesome environment to me! It’s good even if you are just playing music in your room while you’re trying to relax.

After all, sometimes it’s better to see fire than album work or patterns, right?

How to activate the Google Play Music fireplace for Chromecast

  • Go to Google Play Music on the web.
  • Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner.
  • Select “Labs”.
  • Find “Chromecast Fireplace Visualizer”.
  • Tap on it to enable.
  • After that, you should see a fireplace whenever you stream music to your Chromecast from any device! Enjoy!
