Google Drive Docs and Sheets just received a very awesome improvement, but that is not the only big Drive news we have for today. Google has also dropped the prices for their Drive cloud storage plans. You can still get 15 GB for free, but now the paid plans start at $1.99 a month(for 100 GB of storage).
These new plans really are quite the steal! 100 GB for $1.99 is amazingly affordable. For the sake of having a real-life comparison, this is more than some people have on their computers. Especially those who use Windows 8.1 tablets as their main computers.
If that is not enough, though, you can also get a whole terabyte of cloud storage for just $9.99. That is 1024 GB of cloud storage! All in the cloud, available from any device. And if you want even more, you can get 10+ TB of cloud storage for as low as $99.99 a month.
Do you really need that much cloud storage?
My main cloud storage service is Google Drive, and I must say it offers an amazing experience. You may think having that much cloud storage is unnecessary, but I believe it’s one of those things you never understand until you experience it.
I have 2 TB of Google Drive Storage and pretty much have my whole computer backed up to the cloud. All my images, documents, songs, photo RAW files and more are in there. Every single thing in my computer is in the cloud. This means I never have to struggle to find those important files when I am not at home.
And since my whole computer is backed up on Google Drive, it’s also very easy for me to switch to a new computer. This is also a great solution for those who use Chromebooks. Chroem OS computers don’t tend to have much storage, which means you should take advantage of Google Drive cloud storage if you need significant amounts of storage.
I do understand not everyone wants to do things this way, though. One thing is for sure, whatever your needs may be, Google Drive has some of the best cloud storage offers out there.
