Chrome is a very powerful browser and is changing the way we look at the internet. Chrome Apps APIs are the perfect example of this. These tools allow you to control your hardware and software better. Today’s demonstration of what Chrome makes possible comes from Google Evangelist François Beaufort.

He has created a simple 50-line Javascript app that allows you to control your Google Play Music session from a completely separate computer. He mention it uses the Chrome Storage API to “store, retrieve, and track changes to user data.”

As you can see in the video above, the app does have significant lag. This is simply a short and concise demo of what Chrome can do, though. If you want to make something better he offers you his files and documentation, which are available for download.

You can also download the Chrome app from the Chrome Web Store if you want to give it a roll. I will be using it for a while and let you guys know how that goes. Don’t forget to hit the comments to let us know how you like it!
