The latest update to Chrome brings a series of very neat improvements and features, but Chrome OS users are getting a little something extra. Update 32.0.1700.95 is also giving Chromebook owners the ability to access Window Overview, which we previously saw in Chrome OS Beta.

This feature allows users to easily switch between windows by displaying them all in miniature. You can then pick which window you would like to access, making for a much smoother and faster work flow.

How to access Window Overview

  • Alt+tab.
  • Use the Window Overview key (F5).
  • If you have a touch-screen swipe down the screen with 3 fingers.
  • Swipe down with 3 fingers on the touchpad.

Chromebook Pixel will be late to the party

The Chromebook Pixel is one of two Chrome OS laptops with a touchscreen, which means most of you will not be able to use the third option in the list above. The Pixel will be getting the update in the “upcoming days”.

We would love to see if this is working on the Acer C720P, though. Please do let us know, if you happen to have one.

Wrap up

The update also includes a series of security and performance enhancements, as well as the supervised users feature. Go ahead and check it out on your Chromebooks! And don’t forget to hit to comments and let us know how the update is treating you.
