The ASUS Chromebox may have a good market, for it is a nice computer that can be set up to have very good specs. Most of us will still prefer the laptop form-factor, though. If you fall within this category, you will be happy to learn ASUS may be releasing a couple of Chromebooks soon.
Chinese tech site VR-Zone is reporting that ASUS has two models in the works – the C200 and C300. Both are said to come with Intel processors, but one will be smaller than the other. The ASUS C200 will feature an 11.6-inch display while the C300 will be bigger at 13.3 inches.
Other specs are still unconfirmed, but this rumor falls in line with previous leaks. Last November we reported on two ASUS devices that seem to be much like these.
Those rumors told us the computers would cost $200-$250, and would probably come with 16 GB of internal storage, 2-4 GB of RAM and very nice battery life (thanks to the Haswell processor).
Sounds like a good deal to us! I happen to love ASUS’ laptops, so I can’t wait to hear more about what the company may have in store for us.
Let’s hope we hear more about these devices soon. The ASUS Chromebox is cool, but we need some more flexibility and options! Right? Let’s hope we hear more about this soon. You can be sure I will be bugging the ASUS team for more details, at MWC.
Thanks, Mr. Doe!
