Pokemon Go is getting a shiny new piece of hardware in Japan tomorrow: The Poekmon Go Plus ring, which serves the same function as the wrist strap, which was released a while ago.
You can use the Pokmeon GO Plus Ring to get notified of nearby Pokemon when you’re not on your phone. It connects to the phone via Bluetooth and is active even when your phone is in your pocket.
It retails for 400 Yen in Japan, or about $3.5 USD. Which sounds like a steal, but keep in mind that you need the regular Pokemon Go Plus device as well (which costs about $35).
No word on when it will be released in the US or Europe.
