If you enjoyed Shovel Knight last year, you’re in for a real treat again this year, as developer Yacht Club Games has announced a free DLC expansion for the game entitled Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows. This free DLC pack will arrive for both the Nintendo Wii U and the 3DS, as well as launching on PlayStation and PC sometime in Q2 2015.
Players will take control of the Plague Knight in this expansion, guiding him through mischievous puzzles and danger in order to create the Serum Supernus, an ultimate potion. The kicker is that the ingredients for the potion must be extracted from former allies. Along with the story comes crafting to the game, as you’ll be able to use loot and reagents you recover in the game to craft new equipment and power-ups to help you along your journey.
