With Xenoblade Chronicles 3D on the way and Xenoblade Chronicles X releasing on the Wii U soon, series director Tetsuya Takahashi has expressed his desire to see a full set of amiibo for the game series. While this isn’t a confirmation in the least bit, Takahashi mentions the Shulk amiibo designed for the Super Smash Bros. series and how great it looks.

It’s been about a month since I posted. The Shulk amiibo came out! I’ve been supervising this since the early prototype stages, but I’d like to say thanks to all the people who’ve worked very hard on the amiibo. I saw a production model at the start of this month and I was very impressed with the build quality. This time it’s a Smash Bros. figurine, but I’d love for there to be a Xenoblade [amiibo] series sometime in the future, too.

We’re already getting several figures from the Fire Emblem series that were designed to be used for the Super Smash Bros. series, but they’ll work with upcoming games as well. With a new Fire Emblem announced for Nintendo 3DS, it’s not hard to imagine Nintendo considering a Xenoblade Chronicles amiibo set, especially if fans express that desire. What do you think? Would you buy an amiibo set with characters from Xenoblade Chronicles?
