Resident Evil: Revelations for Wii U will feature off-screen play and Pro Controller support

With all the controversy over Ubisoft’s Rayman announcement last week, it seems like game developers directly involved with Wii U titles are going out of their way to make sure they’ve made fans aware of how much they’re supporting the Wii U. In a recent interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil: Revelations will offer off-screen play along with support for the Pro Controller.

Producer Tsukasa Takenaka spoke to Official Nintendo Magazine about the game:

I wouldn’t want to be so presumptuous as to say that everyone will enjoy one version more than another, but there are definitely features in the Nintendo Wii U version that are not found on other consoles.

It’s nice to see developers embracing the platform like this, especially Capcom since they’ve been rather steadfast in stating that ports weren’t the future for the Wii U. What do you think about off-screen play for the title? Are you excited? Let us know in the comments.
