Nintendo will offer the Wii U Pro controller to those who wish a more traditional control scheme instead of the new GamePad. According to GameStop’s product page of the Pro controller, the battery life lasts an impressive 80 hours.
By comparison, an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 controller last less than half of that on a full charge. However, the “80 hours” of battery life are yet to be officially confirmed by Nintendo.
The Wii U Pro controller features dual analog sticks, shoulder buttons, D-pad, and everything else a modern video game controller needs. Earlier today, a third party Wii U Pro controller was revealed, which resembled a classic SNES controller.
The Wii U Pro controller will be available at launch and will retail for $50.
