Mighty Switch Force HD is coming to the Wii U eShop, according to developer WayForward Technologies. Mighty Switch Force HD is a puzzle platformer that was previously released on the Nintendo 3DS. It’s one of the first titles announced for the new Wii U eShop, and the developer is aiming for a launch date release. Some of the new features in the Wii U version will include HD visuals (obviously), redrawn game sprites (i.e. animations), and it’ll include the bonus DLC content that was released on the 3DS. The GamePad tablet will be used as a map to display the location of the enemies, and players will be able to play the whole game on the tablet, if they wish.
Mighty Switch Force HD is 2D platform shooter where players control a robot police officer tasked to round up escaped convicts. WayForward Technologies is rumored to be working on another Wii U eShop title, a remake of the 2002 GameBoy Color game “Shantae”.
