For many amiibo collectors, Nintendo’s lack of communication on when new waves of amiibo will be available has made collecting the figures nothing short of a headache. Nintendo UK has been attempting to take control of the situation by limiting how many amiibos can be purchased by a single person in order to prevent gouging. Still, nearly all of wave 4 has sold out, with the exception of Wario and Charizard, which are now available for pre-order from the store.
We’ve seen mention from a few retail employees that other stores are going to begin limiting amiibo scalpers as well. Currently GAME is not offering pre-orders on Wave 4 amiibos, so if you want either of these two figures your best bed may be ordering straight from Nintendo UK. The other figures in Wave 4 are already sold out, including Ness, Pac-Man, Robin and Lucina.
Remember that the Robin and Lucina amiibo will work with the upcoming Code Name S.T.E.A.M. for the Nintendo 3DS, so they’re likely to be popular figures for those that want to use Fire Emblem characters in that game.
