Valve interested in Wii U

Valve Wii U
Valve, one of the most famous developers in the world, and the makers of Half Life, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, and of course, Steam, are interested in Nintendo’s Wii U console. According to Valve boss Gabe Newell, who spoke at the New York’s Games for Change Festival, and mentioned the Wii U and how it fits within Valve’s development framework. Newell told game blog Joystiq:

It sort of fits better into the scalability in terms of graphics performance and CPU performance, so I think it’ll be a lot easier for us to fit it into our scalability model.

Valve has been working on consoles over the past few years, offering their games on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, an experience, which Newell says, will help them “fit the Wii U within that framework”.

Valve is one of the most popular developers out there, and one that consistently shows care and attention to its fans. Having a Valve game — or several games — on the Wii U would excite a lot of fans. Half Life 3 on Wii U, anyone?
