UnEpic headed to Wii U some time in 2013

Nintendo seems to have loosened up on their requirements for games on the eShops after having denied Edmund McMillen a Binding of Isaac 3DSrelease, only to accept the game on the Wii U eShop.  The developers of UnEpic, an adult-themed homage to Dungeons and Dragons has managed to secure release on the Wii U eShop as well. This comes with the promise that the team will tone down some of the adult references that are made within the game, however.

The developers of UnEpic have teamed up with EnjoyUp to bring the game to the Wii U, as EnjoyUp has previously worked with Nintendo to bring third-party titles to the eShop such as La-Mulana. Work on getting the game fit for a Wii U release begins this month and only once the process is completed will the full list of changes between versions be seen. Since the game was recently Greenlit for Steam, the adult-themed version of the game will likely be released on PC.

The game will make special use of the Wii U GamePad to display the massive inventory and likely the stats you see at the bottom of the screenshot here so that players can focus on the gameplay that’s on the TV.
