Ubisoft has confirmed they’re not showing any Wii U or 3DS games at E3

A couple of months ago when the Wii U version of Watch Dogs was delayed behind the May 27 release date, I speculated that Ubisoft was looking to pull out of development for Nintendo consoles. Child of Light was released at the end of April and Ubisoft already has their next UbiArt title Valiant Hearts lined up, but guess what. It’s not heading to Wii U, either. Rumors flew that the next Assassin’s Creed game would be divided into two releases, code-named Unity and Comet. Neither of those were rumored to be coming to Wii U.

Ubisoft finally took away all the rumors and speculation and confirmed what we know, that Ubisoft has no plans to show any games for Nintendo consoles. They’re done with Nintendo for now, as the latest Assassin’s Creed game, Far Cry 4, and the UbiArt project Valiant Hearts are all skipping the Wii U, according to one representative.

“We won’t be showing off any Nintendo games at E3 this year.

That’s a shame, since Ubisoft was one of the early partners for the Wii U and released the survival horror game ZombiU. It didn’t do as well as the company hoped and from there it was a downhill struggle. Rayman Legends was delayed and eventually released on multiple consoles, though the Wii U version of the game is the best version to play. We hope Ubisoft changes its mind about showcasing games for the Wii U, but we’re not holding our breath.
