When Ubisoft launched Watch Dogs on other platforms earlier this year, it came with several special editions with additional content. It was assumed that these special editions would be released on Wii U as well, but according to UK retailer GAME, that will not be the case. Watch Dogs on Wii U will not have any special editions when it is released and it will be released with no additional DLC. Here’s an email sent to those who had pre-ordered the special editions from GAME:
“It is with great disappointment that we can confirm that unfortunately on this occasion Ubisoft will not be producing either the Dedsec or Vigilante editions on Wii U.”
Anyone who pre-ordered the special editions from GAME earlier in the year are now being switched to the standard version from GAME. Unfortunate news for anyone who is still looking forward to playing this game, but given that Ubisoft seems eager to rush this out the door and wash their hands of it, it’s not really that surprising.
