Earlier this year after announcing a restructuring for their office, Two Tribes announced that it would once again be bringing a game to the Wii U. That game is called RIVE and at the time, it appeared to be a mix between a bullet hell shooter and a platformer. Today the team at Two Tribes has revealed the first gameplay footage of the game, which you can find above.
Aside from shooting your way through the levels, it looks like there are various robots throughout the levels that you can hack that will give you benefits, like a shield or an increased rate of fire. It’s an interesting concept, but not a new one considering games like BioHazard Battle utilize the same concept and have been around since SNES/Genesis days. Either way, it’s nice to see something new from Two Tribes.
