Another Wii U indie game is getting a post-release patch, and this time around it’s Trine 2: Director’s Cut. The game will be getting a new and impressive update very soon which include a number of new additions and features.
First and foremost, online chat will be implemented. Playing online is frustrating at this time because of the lack of ability to communicate with the other player(s). With this update, everyone should easily be able to communicate what they are planning to do in each level and how to solve each puzzle. The only problem with this part of the update is that you will need to find a headset that you enjoy to use.
Next is the ability to use the pro-controller. It will be nice to have for local co-op, but personally I’ll be sticking with my game pad for solo excursions, as I just prefer clicking the screen to switch my character and aiming/shooting my bow. New languages will also be added, with German being one of them.
The game’s already gorgeous graphics will be improved with enhancements to both its vivid and dark colors. As it’s already one of, if not the best, looking games on the Wii U, it should be interesting to see how much more they can improve.
Lastly, there will be some controller improvements, and more small updates and bug fixes. There isn’t an exact date that the update will arrive, but keep an eye out when loading the game and let us know when you see it.
