There have been several rumors suggesting that SEGA and developer Sumo Digital are working on a Sonic Kart racing game, and despite SEGA denying the rumors, they seem to persist.
This weekend we got another source claiming that Sumo Digital is working on a Sonic Kart racing game, and this time, the game supposedly only features Sonic and friends, not the larger SEGA game universe.
This would be in line with previous Sonic racing games, such as Sonic R and Sonic Drift.
This is of course bad news for fans of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which featured characters from the larger SEGA universe.
According to this latest rumor, the game will be released later this year.
