On this day, 30 years ago, the very first Zelda game was released. Back in 1986, on February 21st, Nintendo released “Legend of Zelda” on the Famicom Disk System. And as we know, the rest is history.
Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link was released the following year on the same system, and then it would take several more years for the next Zelda game: Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the SNES in 1991.
Since then, Zelda has not only become a successful video game franchise, but a part of our culture as well.
