Double Fine Production recently announced The Cave for the Wii U, a platform-adventure game made by long time video game designer Ron Gilbert. It’s loosely based on Gilbert’s 1987 game Manic Mansion. Now we got the first gameplay trailer for The Cave, showing its visuals, gameplay, and some of the weird caracters you’ll get to play. It looks very similar to recent indie hits like Trine 2 (which will also be coming to the Wii U). The game will be released digitally on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii U (on the eShop) in early 2013. No word on pricing yet, but we expect the game to be in the $20 range.
