Here’s something that’s probably a bit unexpected. With the big Black Friday sales that have been going on, we told you Wednesday about Target’s big bundle for the Wii U, which offers Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon inside a 32GB Wii U Deluxe bundle for the low price of $250.
This low price did extremely well for the retailer, as they recently experienced record-breaking sales for their online Black Friday sales. The top three items that made up the bulk of sales were the iPad, the Apple Watch… and the Wii U.
Not bad for the little console that everyone is already counting as dead. Smash and Splatoon are exactly the enticing games the Wii U needed in a bundle this holiday season, so hopefully we’ll see Nintendo and retailers offering this bundle at the same price come Christmas.
