Target confirms it won’t be restocking Rosalina & Luma amiibo

Amiibos have been a bit of a sticking point so far for many fans, with some major characters selling out to scalpers and being otherwise unavailable to the general public since they’re launch. The Rosalina & Luma amiibo seems to have experienced the brunt of this, especially considering the figure is a Target exlusive in the United States. We’ve seen reports of one man spending upwards of $5,000 to remove Rosalina & Luma from store shelves in his area simply because he considered the character OP in online Smash and didn’t want anyone to have the amiibos.

Yesterday, a leaked Target internal document detailing the availability of current amiibos and what will be restocked by Nintendo was leaked. You can find the document below. Notice it says that pre-orders are no longer an option, so amiibos will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Notice the instructions include measures against scalpers by limiting quantities to two per purchase, but the most disconcerting thing is that after the stock of each individual store is gone, there will be no further stock. The document has been confirmed by a Target employee as an internal newsletter updating staff on the amiibo situation and which products would no longer be available after all stock has been sold.

If you’ve missed getting a Rosalina & Luma amiibo, it’s about to get a lot harder to her.
