New SwitchCase wants to make your Switch more ergonomic

One of the main complaints I’ve seen from most gamers about the Nintendo Switch is that it’s somewhat awkward to hold in portable mode because the Joy-Cons aren’t really ergonomic and don’t fit into your hand the way a regular controller might. It’s a small problem, but it’s very noticeable if you have large hands.

That’s what this new Kickstarter idea is attempting to fix. Skull & Co has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the SwitchCase, which they describe as an all-in-one case designed to make your Switch easier to hold while you’re on the go. Check out the video below.

The developers are asking for just shy of $12,000 Aussie Dollars to get the project funded and it’s already been 42% funded at the time of writing, so it seems likely that this thing will meet its goal.

I’d like to mention that hardware Kickstarters have a notoriously high failure rate and while I’m not saying this Kickstarter will fail, I’d be wary about backing a hardware Kickstarter. A pledge of $29 or more will get you the early bird special, but if you miss that you’ll have to pledge $39 to get the case. Their estimated delivery time is October 2017, but we all know how that goes when it comes to Kickstarter.

Would you consider backing this project?
