Switch stays on top of console sales charts on Japan

The Nintendo Switch stayed on top of the console sales charts in Japan last week, making it the fourth straight month where the console was the best selling hardware in Japan. And that’s despite severe shortages.

It was followed by the PS4 as usual, with the 3DS coming in at third. On the games front, the Switch had two games in the top three: Arms and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Here are the best selling consoles and games for last week in Japan:

Hardware sales chart: (last week in parenthesis)

Switch โ€“ 25,805 (22,361)

And the best selling games of the week:

Sales of Switch hardware would have been even higher if there was enough supply. Supply is so restricted in Japan that Nintendo recently apologized for the Switch supply issue.
