Nintendo Switch actually “snaps” when you replace a Joy-Con

During a live stream of Disgaea 5 Complete, Nippon Ichi Software confirmed something that’s been on all of our minds since last month’s Nintendo Switch presentation: Did Nintendo implement that snapping sound into the Switch? The answer is yes, yes they did!

From the video above, you can see that when you insert either the left or right Joy-Con into their place on the Switch in tablet mode, there’s an audio and visual feedback to confirm proper placement. The audio feedback is that glorious snapping sound, meanwhile the visual feedback are small white lines that briefly protrude from either side of the screen.

Seeing as how we’ve never seen this before, we can’t say for certain if the snap works for all games, or if it’s up to the developer to enable it.

This might not seem like a big thing, but hey, it’s the small things that count.
