Switch firmware updated to 3.0.2

Nintendo has released a new firmware update for the Switch. The firmware, version 3.0.2, adds online play in several new countries, and it brings along the usual “general system stability improvements”.

As usual, Nintendo is keeping the update notes vague. Here they are:

  • Added online play in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. This is currently available for free until the paid online service launches in 2018.
  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience

And that’s about it for this update.

The Switch 3.0.2 update is now live for all users and should download fast as it’s a very small file size.
