Now that people have their Switches, the first thing a lot of you want to do is probably skin it. Some of you probably already have D-Brand gear pre-ordered and are eagerly awaiting their arrival. Well, you should probably check your email, because there’s a rather alarming update about that.
According to tests done by famed skim maker D-Brand on skins for the Nintendo Switch, the console doesn’t play nice with adhesives. As you can see from the gallery below, or our header images, adhesives remove the coating coating on the Switch. For those of you who still want some skins for your Joy-Cons….this applies to those as well.
D-Brand advises every Switch owner to “not buy a skin.” The company will be cancelling and refunding customer pre-orders.
