Super Smash Bros player has a bounty on him after 34 consecutive tournament wins

There is one player currently dominating the 1v1 category in Super Smash Bros Wii U tournaments: Gonzalo “Zero” Barrios has won every single 1v1 tournament he has participated in, dating back to November of last year. That’s 34 consecutive wins.

He’s so good that someone put a $250 bounty on him — who ever beats him, wins $250. The bounty was offered by the founder of the Community Effort Orlando, a fighting game tournament.

But that $250 wasn’t enough, so the bounty was quickly upped to $500, thanks to the owner of SmashBoards.com, who also wants to see Barrios drop from the throne.

Barrios will be participating in the CEO 2015 tournament in June, which is where the bounty could likely be claimed. Or not likely — he didn’t win 34 straight matches by luck.
