The Image & Form team has fielded another batch of questions fans have about the upcoming release of SteamWorld Heist on various platforms, including Wii U and PS Vita. While the PS4 and PS Vita versions of the game will feature cross-buy, one fan inquired as to whether or not the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions would feature the same deal.
According to the developers, they’re planning on having some sort of cross-buy discount for the Wii U version, but it won’t support cross-buy with the Nintendo 3DS version because the two consoles are so dissimilar it requires Image & Form to do a lot more work to port the game to the Wii U. With the PS4 and the PS Vita, the systems are similar enough that it doesn’t entail a lot of work.
