Late last night (Pacific Time), Nintendo launched the latest Splatoon Splatfest. The themed event splits players into two groups, this time it’s hot dogs vs marshmallows.
Team Hot Dog and Team Marshmallow get to duke it out all day today, until 9 PM PT tonight. The first Splatfest took place in June, where it was Team Dog vs Team Cat, and in July, it was Roller Coasters vs Water Slides.

Splatfests have their own ranking system separate from Ranked Battles. At the end of each Splatfest, players can earn new unlocks for their character. In the Hod Dog vs Marshmallows Splatfest, if players rank high enough, they can unlock the Super Sea Snail item.
