Nintendo’s first foray into the world of online shooters is almost upon us and the gaming press is finally starting to take notice. This month’s Edge magazine features artwork from Splatoon in the form of Inkling eyes in squid form. The byline reads “How Nintendo is reinventing the multiplayer shooter” and will provide one of the first looks at the game in print form.
While print media is no where near as popular as it used to be thanks to the ease of access provided by the internet, the fact that Splatoon managed to get a full cover is big news for Nintendo. Despite this being the May issue of the magazine, it’s available now on store shelves so if you want to pick up a copy and check out the article, be sure to do so before the end of the month.
