Good news for those looking to get Splatoon 2 on the Switch next month (and doesn’t everyone want to get Splatoon 2?!): the game’s resolution has been bumped up to full 1080p and 60 frames per second.
If you recall, the game ran at just 720p during its Testfire event on the Switch.
Of course, the 1080p resolution is only when the console is docked, as the tablet display itself is 720p only.
Splatoon 2 will be released exclusively on the Switch on July 21.
The game will also feature a new co-op mode called Salmon Run, where 2 to 4 players find themselves on a platform and have to defend against hordes of enemy. Basically Splatoon 2’s version of the classic “horde mode”.
