Yesterday we told you that the exclusive partnership between Nintendo and Sega would see all three Sonic games released in the 2013 calendar year. This has since been corrected, as an IGN staff member followed up with Sega and confirmed that the third title in the series will not be hitting the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS in 2013.
Been busy but just re-confirmed with SEGA that the ‘third’ Sonic game in Nintendo’s three-game deal will not arrive in 2013.

While that’s unfortunate since the Wii U is currently experiencing a drought of games, by the time the game is released we expect a richer experience for Wii U owners. That being said, what do you think the third title will be? Many are speculating it will be a kart racing game similar to Mario Kart, as Sonic & All-Stars Racing was, though many have voiced displeasure at the idea of another Sonic racing game being part of that exclusive partnership.
