Japanese magazine Dengeki Online has a new interview with Takashi Iizuka, who is currently the head of Sonic Team. The article is currently only available in Japanese, but the folks over at NeoGAF have shared a translated snippet from the article that reveals this might be the biggest “classic Sonic” game ever.
There are the most number of stages in the Classic Sonic series ever.For that reason I want to say, I try not to overwhelm you so much as to keep your enjoyment.
Obviously it’s not a very good translation and it’s unclear if this includes the Sonic 3 and Knuckles expansion together as one or if it counts them as separate series, but for classic Sonic fans this is definitely good news.
