Yesterday, Hideo Kojima did a Q&A session on Twitch, answering fan questions about the series. One question that popped up was whether or not Snake would be in the new Super Smash Bros. Kojima admitted that he didn’t know because he wasn’t working on the game, but that if Sakurai wanted to use the character again, he would be more than happy to see him make his return to the series.
“I’m not working on that game so I don’t know, but I don’t think that’s likely. Well if Mr. Sakurai is watching this, please use Snake.”
Snake is a bit of a contentious character in the series, since Metal Gear Solid is more associated with the PlayStation platform than anything else. Many people would rather see Snake’s roster spot go to a more familiar Nintendo character, than borrow from other games. What do you think?
