Once again Masahiro Sakurai in his magnanimity has decided to grace us, his humble subjects, with new information regarding the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games. Thus we have been given a screenshot from the Wii U version of the game along with an explanation of a new item. We see Bowser is back to his old tricks and kidnapping fairies again, while Peach seems rather disinterested in the whole affair. Sakurai had this to say about the photo:
Hey look, a bottle!! This is a special item that can even heal fighters who have accumulated over 100% damage.
So it looks like Fairies will act like the Heart Containers from previous games, healing characters who have badly damaged. It’s somewhat unclear though if he means Fairies will, like the Heart Containers from Melee and Brawl, heal exactly 100% damage or if they’ll heal more than 100% damage; possibly fully healing a character like the Heart Containers in the original game.
Tatl, the head spokeswoman of the Organization for the Ethical Treatment of Fairies, could not be reached for comment.
