Smash Bros. Star Fox Wii U exclusive stage unveiled by Sakurai

Today on Miiverse, Super Smash Bros. developer Masahiro Sakurai unveiled a Wii U exclusive Smash stage from the Star Fox lore. The stage is based on the Orbital Gate, re-enacting the defense of it from the Aparoid missile attack. It’s nice to see some levels will be exclusive to the Wii U, especially considering many of the changes that were made to the game we’ve learned have occurred because of limitations of the Nintendo 3DS version of the game.

Pic of the day. This is the Orbital Gate stage. This is a Wii U version-exclusive stage reenacting Team Star Fox’s defense of the Orbital Gate from an Aparoid missile attack.

This is a pretty epic stage for Star Fox fans and for those who are excited about Miyamoto’s upcoming Star Fox game that we saw a small sample of during E3, perhaps this is an indicator of what it could look like once it’s ready to go.
