Though we still don’t know if this is a like the remaster released last year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, or something between that and the original game, we do know a few new things. In their announcement trailer, Bethesda showed off amiibo support and motion controls for Skyrim Switch.

The amiibo they showed was Breath of the Wild Link. The Bethesda video specifies that you can get gear from The Legend of Zelda, implying amiibo support is limited to any amiibo from that franchise. Placing Link on the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con brought a chest with the Master Sword and Link’s tunic into the game for the player to equip.

With motion controls, you can use the left Joy-Con as your left hand and the right Joy-Con as your right hand to block and attack enemies or pick a lock.

The video’s description also notes that Skyrim on Switch will include all official DLC: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

Will you be getting Skyrim this fall? Let us know in the comments below!
