Shadow of the Eternals project still alive and well according to Denis Dyack

If you’ve been following Wii U Daily with any regularity, you know that back in 2013 the Shadow of the Eternals project kicked up tons of press with its two failed Kickstarter attempts. The game had a troubled history from the start, with Precursor Games running into still opposition from those who believed the project was an attempt to swindle fans of the Eternal Darkness series. Despite the failed Kickstarter and bad press surrounding the litigation between Silicone Knights and Epic Games, somehow the game is still being developed.

In a recent interview with Niche Gamer, Denis Dyack was asked whether or not the game would see release on the Wii U soon. His response is the typical runaround we’ve come to associate with Dyack, who doesn’t ever seem to be able to give a straight answer when it comes to this project.

Well, it all depends on what your definition of soon is. [laughs] Rather than tease, I would just say that we believe in the project and we’re doing everything we can to see this project – and other projects – some of which are really great as well, get out there. We’ve got some big plans for the future, and we’re being very aggressive on some things, and we’re really looking forward to see how things roll out.

So soon, it’s being worked on, still coming, etc. Whether or not it will ever be released on Wii U is the main question.
