Move over Luigi! According to a promotional image released by Sega, 2014 is going to be the year of Sonic! It goes as far as to claim that “2014 will mark a renaissance for Sonic the Hedgehog.”
The image itself centers upon a previously released promo image of the silhouettes of Tails, Sonic, Knuckles, and Amy as they will be featured in the upcoming Sonic Boom cartoon, which is due to be released later this year. It has details at the bottom about a Sonic themed event in New York, where announcements will be made about the brand. It’s too late to RSVP, but at the time of this writing the party still hasn’t started yet, so if they hurry, some of our New York readers may still be able to crash the party in time for cocktails.
