The Samsung Chromebook 2 is very close to being announced. The Samsung Chromebook was one of the most popular Chrome OS computers around, so it’s no surprise Samsung Chromebook 2 anticipation is making us go nuts. There is always the one main factor we want to know more about, though – price.
We now know the aesthetics of the new Chromebook will be on par with Samsung’s latest design language. This could be a good or bad thing, depending on whether you like the fake leather look new Samsung smartphones have been sporting or not. But what about the price? Will it match the original Samsung Chromebook’s affordability?
It seems the Samsung Chromebook 2 will not be as affordable as its predecessor. New leaks suggest the computer will start at $320, with two versions available.

- $399.99: 13.3-inch (1920×1080)
It’s nice to have multiple options and a new design, but we can see right off the bat that Samsung is no longer aiming to cater to the affordable laptop market. These computers great specs and the build quality (even if I’m not a fan of the design) does seem more premium than the previous Samsung Chromebook.
One disappointing rumored spec in this leak is the resolution. We previously heard Samsung’s new Chrome OS laptop would come with a stunning 2560×1600p display. Not that the resolution listed above is anything to scoff at, but having a 2560×1600p display would be pretty epic, especially at those prices.

These specs are quite awesome, so we are not surprised Samsung may be planning to charge a bit more for the new computers. We still haven’t heard anything about the inclusion of a touchscreen, but we should be hearing more details on this bad boy(s) very soon.
