Samsung Chromebook 2 leaks – fake leather on board

Rumors of the second iteration to the Samsung Chromebook have been going around. We heard of some specs last December, but we had no idea what the new computer would look like. The famous leakster @evleaks is here for the rescue, though!

If there is one leak source we can say we trust, it’s @evleaks. It’s rare to see him leak any Chrome OS devices, so we are a bit more excited about his Samsung Chromebook 2 leaked image! As for the laptop… I am not sure if I like it. Check it out below.

As you can see, it seems Samsung is bringing its mobile design cues to the new Chromebook. The laptop seems to sport the same fake leather look that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 introduced.

I can understand a bit of an adventurous design for smartphones, but I happen to be a bit more traditional when it comes to computers. With that said, I happen to not be a big fan of this laptop’s look, but I am sure it will turn some heads and some of you might love it!

In addition, the Samsung Chromebook 2 is said to have some pretty neat performance. Previous rumors have mentioned the following specs.

Samsung Chromebook 2 rumored specs

  • Exynos 5 Octo 5420 processor
  • 12-inch 2560×1600p display
  • 3 GB of RAM
  • 16-32 GB of internal storage
  • 7 hours of battery life

Price might make the Samsung Chromebook 2 look much better!

If you are not a big fan of the computer’s looks, the rumored specs and price will make it much more attractive. This device is said to run for $250-$300, which is a steal considering what it has!

The screen, processor and RAM memory make this a high-end Chromebook with a price that competes with the lowest-end Chrome OS devices (and other laptops, too). We still have to wait for an announcement, so stay tuned and we will let you know as soon as there is any new information on this bad boy!
