The Samsung Chromebook 2 is looking to be a winner this year. The Chromebook 2 comes in two versions, which were recently announced – one features an 11.6-inch display while the other sports a 13.3-inch display. There are some differences in specs, which you can read all about in our Samsung Chromebook 2 announcement post.
We haven’t been able to get hands-on time with the new Samsung Chromebooks yet, but we thought we would share a video to our readers and talk about what to expect from Samsung’s Chromebook 2 devices. CNet posted one of my favorite hands-on videos on the topic, so let’s give it a look.
As expected, the device comes with a better build-quality and an interesting design. I have mentioned I am not a huge fan of the faux leather design, but it’s being reported that it makes for a great grip on the computer. This could be useful – we don’t want to go dropping our laptops, right?
The laptops do look much better-built than the original Samsung Chromebook. In addition, it’s nice to see a larger display on the 13.3-inch version. We have only seen a display this size from Toshiba’s Chromebook, which doesn’t match Samsung in specs and resolution.
In fact, Samsung does offer the best Chromebook resolution in its price range. Save for the pixel, no one beats the 13.3-inch Samsung Chromebook 2, with a full HD (1920x1080p) resolution.
These will not come with a touch screen or back-lit keyboard, but everything else in these computer seem to point out to a good outcome. Overall, they seem to look very nice. We haven’t seen how well these perform, but the 4 GB of RAM and Samsung Exynos octacore processors should give these laptops quite the push.
You can be sure we will get our hands on one of these soon, so stay tuned for more details until then!
